Ronald Carl Germann, age 67, of Eau Claire passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at his home with his family by his side following a 10 month fight with pancreatic and liver cancer.

He was born on December 26, 1946, son of the late James and Joyce (Jackson) Germann in Eau Claire. After graduating from Memorial High School in June 1965, he attended the Vocational Tech receiving his degree in Electronics in June 1967. On November 11, 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Brott, in Cleghorn. Throughout his life, Ron worked at Fabri-Tek, Vocational School, SM Supply, Erickson TV Service, and retired in June 2009 from E.O. Johnson after working 41 years.

He enjoyed going to the lake lot camping, cutting wood, building anything out of wood, helping his children and grandchildren with whatever they needed help with, and cutting lumber with his brother, Jim. He enjoyed his retirement so much.

Ron was a loving son, brother, friend, husband, uncle, dad, and grandpa. He loved being with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 46 years; children, Michael (Julie, her son, Jordan, and grandson, Bentley), Karen Froseth (Zach), and Richard (Janelle); granddaughters, Kayla, Marissa, and Samantha Froseth; brother, James (Patty) Germann; uncle, Bill Germann; aunt, Merle (Cricket) Bauer; brother-in-law, Marvin (LaVonne) Brott; sisters-in-law; Lorraine (Rod) Stenzel, Irene Schober, Dorothy Kriesel; godchildren, Brian Brott, Patrick and Nathan Kliest; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers.

Ronald was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reinhart and Agnes Germann and Ted and Emma Jackson; father and mother-in-law, John and Rachel Brott; sister-in-law, Connie Germann; brothers-in-laws, John (Leone) Brott, Jr., Loren (Diane) Brott, Orville (Beverly) Brott,  Larry Schober, Arnie Kriesel; uncles, Tim Germann, and LeRoy Nix; aunts, Marlys Nix, LaRaine (Jerry) Holte and Ethel Germann.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
