Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. John Mann officiating

Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Mildred "Mitzie" I. Woletz, age 95, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire.

Mitzie was born on June 6, 1917 to the late Martin and Anna (Olson) Anderson in Eau Claire. She worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Walton Manz for many years. She worked as an Executive Secretary for various departments at UW-EC, retiring in 1982. As a member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1946, Mitzie was very active in the choir, women's groups, and taught Sunday school. Her Norwegian heritage was very important to her as she traveled to visit cousins in Norway and they in turn came to America to visit her. She was a talented seamstress and loved to knit, crochet, and do needlepoint.

She is survived by her sons, Robert "Bob" and John both of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Laurie Buchberger, Scott (Shirley) Buchberger, Joel (Pam) Woletz, Brad Woletz (friend, Joan); great grandchildren, Carl, Elizabeth, Samuel, Christopher "CJ", Molly, and Maggie; special  nephew, David Wolf; nieces and nephews, Willard (Jean) Anderson, Rev. Roderick "Roddy" (Jan) Anderson, Joan Wolf, Al Gilbertson, Marjorie Rudd, and Francis Becker; many other relatives and friends.

Mitzie was preceded in death by her husband, John "Huntz" in 1989; brothers, George and Arthur; sisters, Agnes and Bernice; infant son, Paul; nephew, Kenneth Wolf.
