Robert Joseph Pichler, age 78, of Mondovi passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.

Robert was born on March 11, 1937 to the late Adolph Sr. and Rose (Bauer) Pichler in Mondovi. He graduated from Lima Catholic School in 1955. On September 18, 1956 he married Shirley Gullickson. Within this marriage four sons and a daughter were born, Mike, Bob, Steve, Ron, and Julie.

He was a very hard working man who worked three jobs with his family's support as a farmer, carpenter, and with Jacques Seed as a supervisor. He loved talking to people and saying his famous words - "you know." He enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and getting together with family for holidays. On December 4, 1994, he suffered severe strokes which led him to be at the nursing home for twenty one years. Robert will be deeply missed by his many family members and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Mike (Jane), Bob (Nancy), and Steve; daughter, Julie (Mike) Pettis; grandchildren, Mark (Kim), Jeff (Cassie), Matt (Brittney), Colton (Mara Nedlund), Ronnie Jr. (Mallory Young), and Hunter Pichler, Amber (Jeff) Fregine, Jodie (Eric) Johnson, Sara (Dan) Sonsolla, Mike Jr. (Elsa Bell) Pettis, and Kristen Allison; great grandchildren, Owen, Olivia, Madelyn, Cameron, Evan, Easton, Willow, Annabelle, Alexis and Jordynn; brothers, Dennis, Adrian, Kenny, Arnie, and Adolph; sisters, Cita Haglund and Rita Hayden; many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Paul Pichler; mother- and father-in-law, Otto and Selma Gullickson; sisters, Dorothy Webb, Marlene Risler, and baby Mary Pichler; several nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
