Entombment: Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be given to the Telephone Pioneers or to the charity of the donor's choosing

Chairmaine M. Osborn, age 84, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Cornell Care Center in Cornell, Wisconsin.

Charmaine Mardel Pregont was born April 13, 1932 to the late Leslie and Ethel (Voight) Pregont in Wausau, Wisconsin. She attended Eagle River and Minocqua Schools and graduated in 1950 from Eagle River High.

Following graduation, Charmaine moved to Milwaukee, WI to go to beauty school and have a career as a hair stylist. Charmaine met and later married Frank C. Osborn on February 27, 1954 in Milwaukee. She and Frank had three greatly successful sons, Gary (Julie) of Holcombe, WI, Tim of San Diego, CA and Scott (Nicole) of Waukesha, WI. Charmaine's life revolved around her family. She was so proud of her grandchildren, Cory (Lindsay), Kelly (Gary) Schilts, Ryan, Isabella and Olivia as well as her great grandchildren, Tatum, Pyper, and Bristol.

Charmaine and Frank moved many times living in Appleton, WI, Duluth, MN, Madison, WI and finally settling in Eau Claire where she remained most of her life. They built many houses and she enjoyed having a beautiful home. Decorating her home was her passion. Charmaine loved to shop and always loved going new places. She continued working and enjoyed baking and was always sewing, doing crafts, quilting, and creating beautiful things. Charmaine and Frank also traveled throughout the United States and always had great holiday celebrations with family. Charmaine was very involved in volunteer work through the Telephone Pioneers.

She is also survived by her brother, Noel Pregont of Wausau, WI and sister, Corky Green of Schofield, WI. Charmaine was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank and brother, Wayne.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Cornel Care Center for the excellent care they provided and heartfelt thanks to her great roommate, Bernice.
