Charles William Wainscott was born in Joliet, IL on January 24, 1949. He was the first son of Charles Weldon and Mary Margaret (Kozlowski) Wainscott, the godson of Rita Errek, and the brother of Joyce Wainscott (John Mozga), Carol (David) Vollmer, and Thomas (Donna) Wainscott.

He married Paula (Farb) Wainscott on July 27, 1974, and was her devoted husband for 43 years until his death. He was the father of a daughter, Sara (Egon) Ozer, and a son, Carl (Julia) Wainscott. He was the grandfather (Papa) of Errol and Helen Ozer and Andrew Wainscott. Also special to him was his sponsored daughter, Angela, living in Nairobi, Kenya.

For 33 years, Chuck owned and operated Wainscott Sales & Service, his small engine repair shop in Osseo, WI. He was an avid gardener, voracious reader, talented cook, and an occasional fisherman, bicyclist, and snowshoer. He loved sharing with friends and neighbors his fresh garden vegetables, a cup of coffee, or a well-told tale.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, godfather, and grandparents. He lived with Alzheimer's disease until it took his life. With his wife and children present, Charles died peacefully without fear and with the assurance of heaven at his home in Chippewa Falls, WI on December 27, 2017.
