 Allen K. Howe, age 67, of Altoona passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, January 18, 2013.
He was born on December 14, 1945 to the late Clifford and Marion (Krogman) Howe in Eau Claire. Allen proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1965-69 during the Vietnam Conflict. On June 5, 1971, he married Alice Ann Dekan at St. Patrick's Church in Eau Claire. Allen worked a few years with Knickerbocker's and Armours before joining Holsum/Metz Bakery where he worked for 23 years and then with Sam's Club. He also served with the Altoona Fire Department for 18 years. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alice Ann; children, Jonathan of Faribault, MN, Sarah (Chris) Halvorson of Eau Claire, Nathan (special friend, Erika Bahnson) of Altoona; grandchildren, Christian Howe (Elizabeth Rageth), Tanner Halvorson; his special sweet little great granddaughter, Izabelle Howe; brother, James (Sheryl) Howe of Eau Claire; sister, Patti Short of Maui, Hawaii; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ramon Howe, and sister, Cheryl Hrenak.
