Marian T. Gesche, age 96, died on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Oakwood Villa in Altoona.

Marian was born on June 13, 1919 to the late Olaf and Ragna (Chrislock) Koolmo in Lindahl Township, North Dakota. She grew up in rural North Dakota and graduated from Tioga High School before moving to Wisconsin. On May 4, 1946, she married Carl Gesche at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. For many years, she worked as an auditor with Sears before joining H&R Block where she worked until her retirement. Marian was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 305. She was an avid sports fan - especially baseball - and enjoyed spending summers at the lake in Chetek.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Berg of Eau Claire; son, Lynn (Linda) Gesche of Altoona; grandchildren, Jaqueline (Brian) Kriesel, Melissa (Caleb) Lokken, Joseph Gesche, Randy (Sabrina) Berg, and Craig (Brook) Berg; great grandchildren, Joshua and Eric Kriesel, Makyah and Cambree Lokken, Cody and Payton Berg, Paisley, Hudson, Madden and Everleigh Berg; sisters-in-law, Verna Gesche and June Strand; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; brother, James (Delores) Koolmo; and niece, Sandra Dilland.
