Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 305 at 4:00 p.m.

Interment: at a later date in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wisconsin

Michael W. Hauck, age 45, (formerly of Elk Mound) died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his home in New Haven, Indiana.

Mike was born on January 21, 1970 to Thomas and Betty Hauck in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He graduated from Elk Mound High in 1988. He proudly served in the U. S. Army from Sep 88 to Sep 92 and again in Aug 94 to Feb 96 where he was disabled and honorably discharged. He was very active and served in the Honor Guard and was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas of Spring Valley and Betty (Don) Christner of  Elk Mound; daughter, Melissa (Nathan) Griebel of Austin, MN; siblings, James (Karen) Hauck of Eau Claire, Lisa Angell (Bob Ziegler) of Baldwin, Denise Christner of Inchelium, WA, Don Christner (Kimberly Riedel) of Elk Mound, Micheal Christner of Eau Claire, Jessica Christner (Glenn Hatfield) of Durand; nieces and nephews, Mark, Katie, and Nicole Hauck, Tyler Smith, Cane Thompson, Daniel, Darren, and Deanna Christner, Jordan Ahlman, Austin and Chloe Hatfield; special friends, Debi Wolter and Bobbi (Nick) Kitowski; other special friends, Anthony Lindbo, Gary Engen, Jose Garcia, Johnny Butler and Henry along with many other close family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Ellen Wampole; paternal grandparents, Arnold and Blanche Hauck; nephew, Brandon Angell; and Kitty Kitty (his cat that died in a house fire who was very special to him).
