CHRISTIANSON, Nada J., age 87

Died: Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013

Victory Service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastors Paul Tiefel and Bruce Naumann officiating

Visitation: 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to service at church

Nada will be buried in Rest Haven Cemetery beside her late husband to await the resurrection to life everlasting

 

Nada J. Christianson (nee Dohms), age 87, began her earthly journey on March 19, 1926. Nada was the youngest of seven children born to the late Herman and Georgianna (Brazier) Dohms and grew up in the village of Albertville, WI. Nada married Oswald Christianson on June 2, 1945 and lived in the Town of Seymour for most of her married life. Shortly after her husband's death in 1995, Nada moved to Grace Edgewood in Altoona where she lived for 10 years. Because of failing health due to Alzheimer's, she then moved to Care Partners in Eau Claire where she has lived for the past 5 years.

Nada departed her earthly life to retire to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Nada was a founding member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was a strong and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Nyla (Clint) Welker of Blaine, MN and Carol (Dave) Cavanaugh of Eau Claire, WI; son, David Christianson (fiancee Victoria Italiano) of Wauwatosa, WI; grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Miller of Eau Claire, Angie (Chad) Kasper of Appleton, WI, Troy (Kristin) Welker of Alexandria, VA, Deandra Christianson of Chicago, IL, and Daniel Christianson of Onalaska, WI; great grandchildren, Seth and Emma Miller of Eau Claire, WI, Thomas and Anna Welker of Alexandria, VA, and Clay and Josie Kasper of Appleton, WI; sister-in-law, Eleanor Christianson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Nada was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Oswald; three brothers and three sisters.
