Isabella "Belle" A. Olson, age 85, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Clearwater Care Center in Eau Claire.

Belle was born on March 29, 1932 to the late James and Agnes (Volm) McSorley in Eau Claire. Belle graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic School in 1950. She worked at Altoona Equity Livestock and Northern States Power Co. for several years after graduation. In her younger years, Belle loved dancing at Fournier's Ball Room in Eau Claire where she met Armand Olson, Sr. They were married on June 22, 1957 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eau Claire.

She loved planting flowers, gardening, canning, baking and cooking. Traveling and going to local fairs (especially the concerts) were favorite times of Belle's. She really enjoyed listening to country music, doing crossword puzzles, and watching movies from the 50's and 60's.

Olson, IsabellaGathering together with family around the holidays or for special occasions (such as weddings or graduations of her grandchildren) were very special to Belle. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister and daughter who would do anything for you. She would lend a helping hand when needed or give you good advice, even though sometimes you didn't need it or heard it all the time. Her true joy was watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.

She is survived by her son, Armand "Les" Olson, Jr. of Eleva; daughters, Julie Olson of Eau Claire, Barbara "Barb" (Raymond) Moyer, and Nancy Olson both of Whitehall; grandchildren, Kathryn (Jeremiah) Knuth of Mondovi, Ann Nelson (Justin Deneff) of Trempealeau, and James Moyer of Eau Claire; great grandchildren, Destini, Jared, Deegan, Jasper, Divinity, Bridgette, Draxtyn, Lillyann, and Declan; brother, James McSorley of Kingston, WA; sister, Patricia Schneider of Milwaukee; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Isabella was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lorenzo McSorley; and late husband, Armand Olson, Sr.

The family of Belle would like to thank the staff of Clearwater Care Center and Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful care of their mother.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
